Rocky Patel Signature Series TAA

Elvis went to a local cigar shop and picked up this new Rocky Patel Signature Series. This appears to be a cigar that was specifically released for the Tobacconists Association of America. This group is setup for the B&M retailers.
As always I’m skeptical of a new cigar from Rocky Patel. The Season cigars from Rocky have been pretty good, but when he releases a cigar that is online exclusive or something like this, i’m weary of it.
Rocky Patel Signature Series TAA
The cigar is a Torpedo measures 6 x 52. There is no info to be found on what makes up this cigar.
There are two bands on this cigar. The primary band has a dark Orange almost copper appearence with black accents. The RP logo is in the center with the name of the cigar at the bottom of the band. The second band covers about the bottom half of the cigar with the TAA logo and website.
The wrapper has a light brown with an almost gray appearence. There are many large veins on the wrapper that are quite deep.
I cut the head of the Torpedo and light it with a table top lighter. The first impression of the cigar is bitter with a woody flavor.
At the 1/4 mark of the cigar it is still bitter but there is a slight comlexity underneath the bitterness.
The halfway point the bitterness is pretty much gone, but the complexity is gone. It still exhibits the woody and paper taste. The cigar is almost bland at this point.
The 3/4 mark the cigar hasn’t changed at all. Still very little taste.
The end of the cigar is tasting mostly like ash. Its very dry and tasteless.
If I was a member of the TAA, I would be very disappointed in this cigar. I would want my money back. This cigar is not very good. Even if your a RP fan, I would skip right over this one at your local B&M. I’m barely giving this cigar a 1 out of 5.
