CRA Freedom Tour – Minneapolis Event

Posted By Elvis on August 21, 2008

Wow. That’s about all I can about last night’s Cigar Rights of America Freedome Tour event. Who would have thought that Minneapolis would be such a hot bed of cigar smokers? But after last night, I am happy to report that the Twin Cities is indeed alive and thriving in the world of premium cigars. It was like going to a Hollywood premiere party..cigar celebrities were everywhere and the best part was how available they all were and how genuinely happy they were to meet their loyal customer base. Iron and I talked with Carlito Fuente, Rocky Patel, Nick Perdomo, Tim Ozgener and Paulo from Graycliff. We met countless cigar smokers and shop owners and I am convinced there is no brotherhood like cigar enthusiasts. There was amazing eye candy as cigar smoking women were dressed to the nines. There were top shelf Scotch, whiskey, cognac and vodka tastings. And it was all done under the amazing lights of Minneapolis skyscrapers at R. Normans overlooking Hennepin Avenue in perfect weather. You could smell the cigar aromas from two blocks away letting everyone know that smoking is a wonderful, social pleasure that needs to enjoy the freedoms that drinking a fine wine and eating a nice juicy steak does.

Iron and I are recovering from our 3am bedtime and numerous cocktails and fine cigars still in the system, but it will be an event to remember until the day we leave this place. Stay tuned for a giant picture galley we will get up and running this weekend.

Congrats and thanks to the CRA for a terrific evening!
